Teen Brothers Found Dead in Hotel
Hotel staff entered the room after the family failed to check out and found the brothers dead. Their father was rushed to the hospital in critical condition due to shock, but has since stabilized, according to reports.

Focus on Restaurants Near Taksim Square
The father told investigators that his sons had eaten and drunk at two different restaurants near Istanbul’s busy Taksim Square before falling ill.

While food poisoning is suspected, officials confirmed there were no signs the teenagers had been attacked.

Authorities have arrested the owners and two employees of the restaurants as part of the investigation. Samples of food and drinks from both establishments have been collected and sent to a forensic laboratory for testing to determine the cause of death.

The incident has raised alarm both in Turkey and the Netherlands, with investigators working urgently to establish whether contaminated food or drink was responsible for the tragedy.
