KLM's Concern for Regional Sky Routes
The announcement follows an earlier advisory issued by the Federal Aviation Administration to major U.S. Airlines about the potential hazards involved with flying flights over Venezuela due to the deteriorating security conditions and increase in Military Actions occurring in and around the country.



KLM's Flight Operation and Route Change
According to KLM, the order does not alter flight schedules. KLM has avoided using the area since approximately mid-October. The company indicated, though, that other South American routes may need to be slightly reworked to continue avoiding restricted zones.
