Director Marc van Buren didn't hide his emotions when he wrote to suppliers breaking the news. "It is difficult for me to send you this message," he admitted, going on to explain that Miniworld had been under serious financial pressure for a long time. A formal bankruptcy filing is due later this month, and all activities have stopped immediately.
