A Body Recovered After Days in the Water
Investigators estimate the man had been submerged for anywhere between several days and roughly a week before he was found. Based on physical examination, they believe he was somewhere between 40 and 60 years old at the time of his death. He stood out physically too, measuring an impressive 1.

96 meters tall, and he sported a full, gray beard along with a matching mustache. Despite these distinctive features, nobody has yet come forward to confirm his identity, leaving investigators with more questions than answers.

Clues From His Belongings Point to Flevoland
To help crack the case, police have shared photos of personal items that were recovered alongside the body, hoping someone might recognize them.

Among the belongings was a compass originating from Museum Batavialand, a well-known cultural site in Flevoland province.

Investigators also found a backpack traced back to a vocational school located in Almere, another town within that same province. Together, these two items suggest the man may have had some connection to the Flevoland region before his death.

Adding to the list of identifying features, he was also wearing a ring described by police as distinctive in appearance.
