Slow Start, Strong Comeback
Both players got off to rough starts, exchanging breaks in their opening two service games. Osorio was the first to hold, and she went ahead, 3-2.
The home support of the packed colombian crowd seemed to motivate Osorio, who played with more consistency, while she had five break points on Rus' serve. But Rus survived and held for 3-3.
Osorio took control and won the first set 6-4 after Rus netted a shot at set point up.
