SC Cambuur clinched promotion to the Eredivisie with a resounding 4-2 victory over FC Emmen under Coach Henk de Jong, with five games remaining to play.

The win lifted the Leeuwarden side to 73 points, 20 points ahead of third-placed Willem II, who still have six matches left. ADO Den Haag, currently at the top of the league, confirmed their promotion to the top division in the week before, after defeating Jong FC Utrecht.
Cambuur started the game in top form at De Oude Meerdijk with a sixth-minute goal by Ichem Ferrah.
Ferrah scored after receiving the ball from Tonry Rölke, beating two defenders, and finishing it off with a powerful shot.
Fabian Kvam scored Cambuur's second goal by heading in a ball that was sent from Tomas Galvez in the 21st minute. Two minutes later, Kvam scored again with a shot into the lower part of the right corner.
Romano Postema, however, brought Emmen to within one goal before halftime when he converted a left-wing cross into the upper right corner. In the second half, Ichem Ferrah scored again to restore Cambuur's three-goal lead after cutting inside. Freddy Quispel scored again for Emmen, but by the end of the match, Coach Henk de Jong and Cambuur's players and staff were celebrating on the sideline.
Cambuur was close to securing promotion after losing 4-3 to Jong AZ, but would have secured earlier promotions with at least a tie or victory and a De Graafschap loss.
Cambuur will return to the Eredivisie for the first time since the end of the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 seasons after finishing in 17th during their last campaign, and their res.
