Police in Rotterdam said four people were arrested early Monday following the vandalism and defacement of the Maersk office. The act happened at around 3:30 a.m., and it involved more than 20 windows that were broken and red paint splashed over the exterior of the building.

Severe Damage and Paint Scrawling
Police were left with a "mess of glass," and the damage was believed to have been done with a hammer. The building's entrance had been unusable for staff because of the damage. The investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile at a Zara shop on Coolsingel, pink paint was used to damage its front. It bore the words "Stop the genocide" on its window, the local broadcaster Rijnmond reported. Police have not determined if the two acts of vandalism are related.
Previous protests focused on Maersk
It's not the first time Maersk has been hit in Rotterdam. The Danish shipping giant has been accused of backing Israel, and activists claim the company is complicit in the shipping of weapons to and from Israel.
Some protesters have accused the company of being complicit in war crimes.
In May, activists briefly took over Maersk's lobby in Rotterdam, and about a hundred people protested the arrival of a Maersk ship at the port. "But we understand from Customs and the harbour master it does not contain any weapons parts."
