Sunshine and Mild Temperatures Make King's Day Celebrations a Pleasant Affair

The Netherlands is marking King Willem-Alexander's 59th birthday today, and the weather has largely decided to cooperate. Across much of the country, people celebrating King's Day can expect a mix of sunshine and high cloud cover throughout the day. Temperatures are set to range from 14 degrees in the north to as high as 19 degrees in the south, making for a comfortable outdoor atmosphere in most regions. A brief spell of light rain may arrive in the northwest by late afternoon, but it is unlikely to dampen the festivities in any significant way.
