Allegations regarding multiple children
Prosecutors state there are very many serious allegations against him, including one child (2), who was inappropriately touched during his time at a day care in Amsterdam, and a 13 year old boy who was put in the care of Jan on January 10, 2024. Prosecutors also claim to have taken nude pictures of children in his care, though those photographs did not aggressively depict children.
The suspect (Jan B.) was arrested on November 25, 2025 (2 days after the 2 year old's dad made a report of the same) while he worked as a relief worker at the day care (De Kaap) operated by Partou in Amsterdam-Oost. Prosecutors are claiming, in addition to the above allegations, that there is no evidence showing (1) that Jan is working with anyone else, or (2) if he is distributing the material.

Jan B. was a Member of the Municipal Council of Almere for (50PLUS) from 2022 until February 2025; he previously was a Member of the Municipal Council for the Socialistische Partij (2006-2010). Due to both (1) the applicant's past public position and (2) the serious nature of those allegations, the case has received considerable press/internet attention, and therefore, the prosecution is continuing until the end of the judicial process.
