Discovery of the Body through an Emergency Call
At about 01:15 hours, the police received an emergency call regarding the death of a female in her home on the Wichard van Pondlaan laan. Once entering the house, officers located an already deceased individual within the premises.
The police proved that emergency personnel arrived prepared to perform CPR, but it was too late to render assistance.
The police treated the matter with utmost seriousness, beginning with securing the crime scene. The street where the home was located was blocked off by the police to enable the crime scene investigators to execute their duties with no interruptions. Neighbors were instructed to keep away while police began to speak to individuals at the scene.
An Arrest of the Suspect in the Case
In conjunction with the discovery of the deceased, it was made public immediately after there was a police response. At this time, no specific location or situation has been reported regarding how an individual was taken into custody.
