Dutch Woman Dies in Lake Como Boat Crash

Fall and Injuries Turn Fatal in Collision
The incident was between two boats, one of which was rented by a party of Dutch visitors. A 33-year-old Dutch woman fell into the water after she lost her balance during the crash. She was then struck by the propeller of one of the boats, seriously injuring her legs.

The captain of the second boat attempted to help her at once. Emergency services arrived shortly after and airlifted the woman by trauma helicopter to Sant'Anna Hospital in Como. Regrettably, she died shortly after being admitted.

Second Man Shot and Investigation Ongoing
A 44-year-old man on the second boat was also injured in the crash. He was also airlifted to the same hospital and is in stable condition, according to reports. He is expected to survive.

The incident is currently under Investigation by authorities, who are trying to find out the reasons leading to the crash. Lake Champlain is a popular tourist destination, and boat traffic on the lake in the summer is heavy.
