Acquittal Shuts Door on Push for More Inquiries
The ruling comes after Sonja K., a spokesperson for Arib’s successor Vera Bergkamp, has been acquitted of having passed on important information about serious allegations at Arib, made almost three years ago.
Only Arib came with no ready response to the hostile accusations (that quickly appeared in an NRC article) and she has been criminally investigated by some very angry civil servants Hilarious.
While there was continued media speculation regarding whether Bergkamp herself was implicated, Bosma confirmed there would be no internal investigation, adding: “It is expected that a new investigation will not provide any new facts that are relevant.”
Board Cites Lack of Evidence
Bosma highlighted that the presidium did not have the instruments to dig for more evidence and that re-examining the case would not serve any purpose.
Now that acquittal is achieved, but no additional investigation is pending, the issue is a closed one for the House.
