Three Held for Trespassing in Etten-Leur TikTok Stunt

Police arrested three people who were caught breaking into a business building on the way to Etten-Leur on Monday. The group had entered the property without permission to film a video for TikTok.

Urban Exploring Leads to Arrest
The local police were called to a report of an alleged burglary after the group were caught trying to gain entry to the building. The suspects were arrested on the street around the building and decreed that they had done nothing wrong. "Investigators learned that the subjects were filming for social media and stated their activity was called 'urban exploring' -- a popular trend in which individuals walk through, explore and often take photos and video from abandoned or closed areas," Midlothian Police said in an alert.

The building they accessed, however, was not designated as abandoned or open for public use, and so their entry was trespass.

Fines Issued and Minor Involved
All three were cited for trespassing. One of the parties was a minor, and their parents were properly informed regarding the situation. Officers have also warned people about the importance of respecting property lines, regardless of good intentions or what's doing well online.
