Dutch Weather: Showers, Sun, and Midweek Heat

Mixed weather for the Netherlands this week The Netherlands can look forward to a week of mixed weather this upcoming week, with sunshine and rain both on the way. Most days will remain below summerlike temperatures of 25°C, but Wednesday is expected to bring a brief spike in heat, according to forecasts.

Cool Showery Start to the Week
Monday started with a largely cloudy across the nation with scattered showers. Some sunshine will appear a bit later in the day, but it will continue to feel cool in moderate to strong westerly winds. The high temperatures in the afternoon vary from 18 degrees on the Wadden to 23 in Noord-Brabant and Limburg. The evening will gradually become dry with clear spells and winds will ease. Overnight temperatures will fall to 12°C inland and 16°C on the coast.

Tuesday starts sunny in the south, with clouds elsewhere. Showers will be pushed across northern and central districts throughout the day. The southeasterly wind will be moderate to rather strong, with daytime maximums ranging between 20°C and 23°C, going up to 25°C in the south.

Drippy Thursday Ahead After Hot Wednesday
Wednesday should be the warmest day of the week. It'll be mostly sunny in the afternoon and just a few clouds. The temperatures will range between 22C in the Wadden Islands and possibly 30C in the south.

But rain and cooler temperatures will return on Thursday, with showers and the possibility of thunderstorms. Highs: 20°C to 24°C.

Sunny and Warmer Days Ahead
On Friday, sunny and mostly dry conditions are expected. The weekend might even see a return to tropical temperatures, particularly in the south, with highs again nearing 30°C.
