After being set back by the infection, Krabbé is now in recovery and getting stronger. "I'm slowly getting back into shape and I'm happy with my progress," he wrote. Lately he was feeling well enough to have a romantic adventure in the Loire Valley in France with his partner Deborah. "Very romantic and well deserved," he said.
In his post, Krabbé said it was a challenge to live with cancer for 18 months, but also expressed gratitude. "I can be a dragon but a thankful dragon. I'm still alive, and each day from now on feels like a bonus."
