Fire follows earlier explosion at Rotterdam construction company

Hours of Work to Extinguish Fire OverNight
The fire broke out at approximately 2:30 a.m. and didn’t come under control for about three hours, with firefighters extinguishing the fire around 5:30 a.m. The street has been cordoned off and the police have started investigating the scene carefully. It is not known whether the fire was set deliberately.

The same Timing Raises Concerns
The explosion earlier in the week, in the early hours of Sunday and Monday night, was also at around 2:30 a.m. and caused a small fire. The incidents during which nobody was at the location. “We’re now looking to see if there’s any intent in the timing of this,” investigators said.
