Afternoon: A Mix of Sun and Rain
Through the afternoon, most showers will be in the south, accompanied by the chance of a thunderstorm in the southeast. Otherwise it will slowly dry out and become sunnier, especially on the coast. Northwesterly winds will provide some relief from the sunshine, but temperatures will remain rather cool, ranging between 14-17 degrees.
Clear and Calm Evening
It will be a dry and clear night throughout the nation. The wind will die down across the board, and a few high clouds may spoil the skies. Expect it to get quite cold in the northeast, with temperatures possibly falling to about 3 degrees. It will remain milder to the south and southwest, with temperatures around 12 degrees. The wind will be light and from the south.
Ascension Day – Cloudy with a Westerly Rain
Tomorrow, on Ascension Day, clouds will quickly advance from the west. Sun will linger the longest in the eastern part of the country, but light rain will develop in the west and sweep eastward. If you're stepping outside, especially later in the day, you may want an umbrella.
Warming Up From Friday
Better weather is ahead. Friday will be dry and fine with the mercury climbing to about 20. Saturday would see a true taste of summer, with temperatures hitting 25 degrees in some areas. Sunday will be a touch cooler, 20 to 21 degrees, but still warm. There could be a local shower or thunderstorm either day, especially inland.
