Warm and Sunny Days Ahead in the Netherlands, Storms Expected Saturday

With temperatures reaching 32 degrees Celsius on Friday, the Netherlands will experience several days of warm, sunny weather. Weeronline reports that it will be largely dry and summery between Wednesday and Friday but that the rainy phase will arrive at the weekend.

On Wednesday, the south-west of the country will remain mostly sunny, with cloud in the north and east. The Wadden Islands may see temperatures up to 16°C, while further north it may be 17–20°C, and in the south 20–23°C. Puffs of easterly to northeasterly will freshen during the afternoon.

Warmth Builds in by Friday
Thursday will be warmer with more sunshine. Highs will range between 21-23°C which will soar to 25-29°C in central and southern parts where the warmest weather is forecast for Limburg and east Noord-Brabant. Occasionally strong easterly to southeasterly winds.

It will also bring tropical temperatures to the entire country, with daytime temperatures hovering around 25°C or higher and up to 32°C in the south, and high humidity making warmth feel increasingly sticky and uncomfortable, while weak breezes offer little relief. Clouds will increase in the south later in the day, with a chance of thunderstorms by the evening in the south and west.

Weekend Storms and Cooler Father's Day
Rain and thunderstorms are forecast for Saturday, although the western coast is likely to avoid the bulk of the showers. The temperature outlook is uncertain — if the outbreaks arrive late, parts of the east might still see highs around 30C, early and they might be nearer 25C.

Cloudy will be Sunday's weather to start Father's Day with a chance of showers. But the afternoon should clear out with sunshine from the west. Maximums of 20 to 23°C with moderate westerly winds.
